Chia-Chun Hung, also known as Alden, is a machine learning (ML) researcher at Isomorphic Labs. His work focuses on systems neuroscience, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
Hung obtained his B.A. from St. John's University in China in 1947 and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1955.
Alden is currently an ML researcher at Isomorphic Labs. In the past, he has held the position of Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Hawaii, where his research interests included business organizations and practices of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia, economic reforms and the pricing system of China, and efficiency and productivity in Taiwan.

Chia-Chun was born on June 28, 1977, in Taiwan. He received his B.A. from St. John's University (China) in 1947 and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1955.
Chia-Chun started his career as a practitioner of Taekwondo, winning a silver medal in lightweight at the 1997 World Taekwondo Championships. He participated in 7 tournaments, with a total of 21 registered fights, of which he won 15, achieving a 71.4% win rate.
From 1989 to 1991, Chia-Chun served as the Director of the Institute of International Economics at the National Chung Cheng University in Chiayi, Taiwan. During this time, he also held the position of Professor Emeritus of Economics. His research interests included business organizations and practices of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia, economic reforms and the pricing system in China, and efficiency and productivity in Taiwan from an industrial analysis perspective.
