Sukhdeep Singh is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Institute of Economic Growth in New Delhi, India. He previously worked as a Visiting Faculty of Economics at the Xavier Institute of Management in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, from April 2022 to August 2023.

Singh has a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Economics, a Master of Arts in Economics, and a Master of Philosophy, all from Punjabi University, Patiala, and all with First Division grades. He also completed a PhD at the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata in India.
